Beach T 54 is an 800 m long beach located in the centre of the rock outcrops, with Bayley Rock extending 100 m seaward and forming the southern headland. It receives waves averaging up to 1.5 m, which maintain a 50-100 m wide surf zone drained by permanent rips at either end of the beach. It is backed by some active and vegetated dunes climbing over the backing rocks to a height of 29 m and extending 250 m inland.
