The northern section of Lagoons Beach (T 130) commences at the mouth of Marsh Creek and curves gently to the south for 2.5 km to the usually blocked mouth of Saltwater Creek. A 50-100 m wide rip-dominated surf zone continues south with up to 10 rips operating along the beach. It is backed by a low hummocky foredune, then the deflected Marsh Creek to the north and wetlands associated with the inlet to the south. There is a vehicle track off the Four Mile Creek Road to a car park and footbridge across March Creek that provides access to the northern end of the beach.
