Seymour Beach (T 136) commences as a slightly protected south-facing beach in lee of Long Point and soon curves and trends to the south for 4.3 km to the rock-controlled, usually blocked mouth of Douglas River. The beach is well exposed to waves averaging up to 1.5 m which maintain a well developed rip-dominated surf zone, with up to 15 rips forming along the beach. A series of intertidal rocks extends a few hundred metres north of the river mouth, resulting in hazardous beach conditions. It is backed by a narrow vegetated foredune then cleared grazing land, with Blind Creek reaching the centre of the beach.
Beach Length: 4.3km
