Garden Lagoon Beach (T 69) lies immediately south of the bedrock high. The 800 m long beach is formed across the mouth of a 700 m wide drowned valley. The 100 m wide beach-barrier impounds the usually blocked 10 ha Garden Lagoon, with the shallow lagoon fed by Baileys and three smaller creeks. The beach is slightly protected by a rocky point and reefs to the south, with usually low tide terrace conditions prevailing, while two to three rips form during higher waves. Cleared farm and freehold land of The Gardens covers the slopes bordering the southern boundary of the beach and lagoon.
Beach Length: 0.8km
