Beach T 71 continues to curve to the southeast as a double crenulate 800 m long sandy beach that terminates against the northern rocks of Mateys Gulch. This beach is slightly more protected by Fancy Reef located off the centre of the beach, with reflective to low tide terrace conditions prevailing. It is backed by a small grassy foredune, a row of shrubs then cleared grazing land, with a farmhouse overlooking the southern end of the beach.
