To the east of Cooee Point is an open 2 km wide north-facing embayment containing along its western half three small beaches (T 1084-1086), with rock and rock flats dominating the eastern half.
Beach T 1084 extends from the eastern base of Cooee Point 500 m to the southeast to a low sloping dolerite point. The beach faces northeast and is moderately exposed to east through north waves, which surge up the steep high tide beach. An intertidal low tide terrace extends 100-150 m seaward grading into rock flats at low tide. The Cooee Point Road backs most of the beach, with a narrow reserve with a boat ramp located towards the northern end of the beach, while Cooee Creek drains out across the southern end of the beach, with the Bass Highway right behind.
