Oakley Beach T 1088 is located in the southeastern corner of Burnie harbour and has formed from sand accumulating against the rock jetty which has a boat ramp located towards its northern end. The beach is wedged in the corner and faces northwest across the port. The Burnie yacht club is located at the western end of the beach, with a large car park backing most of the beach and jetty. The beach is very sheltered with usually low wave to calm conditions.
