Brickmakers Bay is located 1 km to the east and contains a curving 250 m long north-facing beach (T 995) bordered by low rocky points. It has a reflective high tide beach fronted by a 150-200 m wide low tide terrace, hemmed in by rocky points, which converge to the centre leaving a 50 m wide sandy gap at low tide. It is backed by a narrow band of scrub, with a car park and small picnic and camping reserve at the western end of the beach and the highway immediately behind the eastern end.
