A low rocky point forms the eastern side of the 50 m wide creek mouth with beach T 1002 extending east of the rocks for 150 m to the next section of low rocky shore. This beach is backed by the Crayfish Creek houses, including a row of beachfront houses, with the highway 200 m to the south. The reflective high tide beach is fronted by a 300 m wide intertidal low tide terrace, which extends south along the side of the boundary rocks and reef.
