Beach T 1003 is located on the eastern side of the small settlement with an irregular low 200 m long rock platform separating it from beach T 1002. The beach faces east into a small rock-bordered cove, with the rocks and reefs reducing waves to 0.5 m at the beach. The beach consists of a 150 m long strip of high tide sand, bordered by a low rocky point and platforms, with some rocks outcropping on the high tide beach, fronted by a 200 m wide intertidal low tide terrace, bordered by rock reefs to either side and all exposed at low tide. When waves exceed 1 m and at mid to high tide a rip runs out between the boundary rocks. It is backed by some low scrub, a grassy reserve, road and the Crayfish Creek houses. A vehicle track crosses the reserve to the beach, which is used to launch boats.
