Gales Bay is located 500 m to the northwest on the northern side of the point. It is a semi-circular 150 m wide, north-facing rocky bay, with beach T 926 curving around the southern base for 150 m. It is a narrow high tide cobble beach fronted by intertidal rock flats that narrow to the east where a boat ramp crosses the beach.
