Beach T 889 commences on the north side of a reef-tied sandy foreland and curves to the north for 300 m to the next low rocky point. Rocks outcrop along the southern half of the beach and reefs extending up to 500 m offshore lower waves to less than 1 m at the shore with usually reflective beach conditions. A 20 m high vegetated foredune backs the foreland, with two fishing shacks located in a clearing behind, while the northern half of the beach is low and cleared and occupied by six shacks. A vehicle track backs the beach with an access track down to the beach, which is used to launch small boats.
