Beach T 890 commences on the north side of the 100 m long low rocky point, with the sand continuing behind and along the 250 m long beach. The beach is bordered by west-trending rock ridges extending 200 m off the boundaries, with four smaller ridges extending from the beach into the low surf. Waves average about 1 m at the shore and maintain a narrow low tide terrace, with higher waves generating a rip flowing out of the small embayment. A low foredune, track and several shacks back the beach.
