Beach RI 10 lies another 700 m to the west and is a curving 250 m long sand and cobble high tide beach fronted by 300 m wide inner rock and outer sand flats, then the deeper channel. Beach RI 11 is located at the end of the spit another 700 m to the west, with a 100 m long groyne forming its western boundary. The sand flats narrow to 200 m off the beach with waves less than 0.5 m. Both beaches are backed by the low hummocky scrub-covered spit, then the 500 m wide wetland and tidal flats at the mouth of Robbins Creek.
