Guyton Point also forms the northern boundary of beach RI 7, a curving 500 m long east-facing sandy beach, bordered by the low basaltic Marys Island to the south. The two points protrude 200 m seaward and partly enclose the beach in an embayment that converges to 300 m in width at the entrance. Waves refract into the bay with higher waves in the centre averaging over 1 m and breaking across a low gradient sand and rock seafloor. Marys Island is a low rock and boulder point, with waves refracting around either side to form a right- and a left-hand point break. A 100 m wide series of low foredunes backs the beach with low scrubland behind.
