Beach T 979 is located 700 m to the north and is a straight 100 m long strip of high tide sand and cobbles located at the mouth of a drainage ditch. It faces west across inner rock and outer ridged sand flats totalling 200 m in width. Beach T 980 lies to the lee of Cable Point and is a similar southwest-facing 200 m long high tide cobble beach fronted by 300 m wide rock then ridged sand flats.
