Beach T 977 commences at the groyne and trends north for 4.2 km paralleling the base of Green Hills to a 500 m westerly projection of the hills. The narrow high tide beach is fronted by 1 km wide ridged-sand flats, containing up to 16 low sinuous shore-parallel ridges cut diagonally across the southern half by the West Inlet tidal channel. It is backed by the green slopes of Green Hills in the north and a series of up to 20 low grassy beach-foredune ridges in the south, which reach up to 400 m in width. These have largely been cleared for farming. There is access via the Green Hills road to the northern end of the beach.
Beach Length: 4.2km
