the foreland for 1.6 km past the mouth of Barney and Templars creeks and a few rock outcrops along the centre of the shore to the next major foreland. The curving beach faces west and receives waves averaging 1-1.5 m which maintain a low tide terrace cut by two to three central reef-controlled rips during periods of higher waves. The grassy foredune narrows to 100 m in the centre creek area, widening to 600 m behind the northern foreland, with the road running behind and some tracks across to the beach.
