Beach T 853 lies 100 m to the north and is wedged between two rock outcrops that extend 50 m into the surf, with a cluster of rocks just off the beach. Waves break over the reefs and outer bar with the inner bar located just outside the rocks and a deep channel draining the small embayment. Beach T 854 is located another 100 m further north and is a similar 80 m long pocket of sand wedged between two protruding 50 m long arms of rocks, with the inner bar linking the rocky points. The dunes diminish to the lee of these two beaches with the north beach backed by a bare 200 m wide deflated surface.
