Gorringes Beach (T 433) curves along the eastern side of the bay for 2.6 km swinging round to face south along its northern end. The narrow high tide beach is fronted by 800 m wide sand flats which half fill the bay. A narrow reserve backs the beach, which is then backed by a 100 m wide area of prograded shoreline, then subdivided slopes, which rise behind the centre of the beach to 170 m at Mount Augustus. Two valleys lie to either side of the slopes with their small creeks reaching the beach. The Rifle Range Road provides access to the northern end of the beach.
Beach Length: 2.6km
General Hazard Rating: 1/10
