Mitchells Beach (T 422) occupies the northern half of the bay commencing 200 m north of Opossum Bay beach. It is a curving 850 m long beach that receives slightly higher waves which maintain a reflective to narrow low tide terrace beach backed by a low grassy foredune. The South Arm Road terminates just south of the beach at a locked gate, with access to the beach only on foot along the shore from Opossum Bay.
