Pigeon Holes is a cleared sloping point that forms the northern boundary of Halfmoon Bay. Beach T 419 is located on the southern side of the point and looks south down the bay. It is separated from South Arm beach and the northern cluster of houses by a 100 m long low rocky point and platform. The beach is 150 m long and straight, with a narrow low tide terrace. It is backed by a row of trees on a low bluff then cleared farmland, with the South Arm Road 300 m to the north.
