Beach T 429 lies at the base of the bay on the northern side of South Arm Neck, with the higher energy Hope Beach (T 413) to the south. The beach faces north to northwest up the bay and receives only low wind waves sufficient however to have prograded the eastern end of the beach 200 m into the bay as a series of low beach ridges. The beach extends for 2.3 km from an area of salt marsh to the southern slopes of Collins Springs Hill. It consists of a narrow high tide beach fronted by 1 km wide sand flats, with the South Arm Road running along the rear of the beach.
