At Fitzroy Point the shore turns and trends north towards the mouth of the Davey River. Beach T 657 commences on the northern side of the point and curves to the north for 800 m. The beach is sheltered by the point, the small Fitzroy Islands and scattered rocks and reefs and usually receives only low wind waves. It consists of a high tide beach with a scattering of rocks and reefs along the shore, and a small creek reaching the southern section of the beach.
