Beach T 691 is the main beach and commences on the northern side of the boundary rocks and curves to the northwest and west for 1.8 km, to terminate in lee of a collection of rocks along the northern 100 m. It is well exposed to southwest waves which average over 1.5-2 m and maintain a well developed 100 m wide transverse bar and rip system, with a 100 m wide surf zone. There are usually strong rips against the boundary rocks and 2 to 3 rips along the beach. The Alec Rivulet crosses the very southern end of the beach against the rocks and flows into the boundary rip. The beach is backed by a semi-stable 20 m high foredune, which increases in width to the south, extending 300-400 m inland as a densely vegetated dune system. A few scattered lakes back the dunes.
Beach Length: 1.8km
