West Sandy Point beach (T 1222) extends from the northern tip of the low point for 500 m to the southeast. The beach protrudes to the northeast as it curves round the tip of the point, with intertidal rock flats extending 200 m offshore. The rocks only permit waves to reach the beach at high tide. The beach consists of a narrow strip of high tide sand, with a few close in tidal pools amongst the rock flats. It is backed by well vegetated transgressive dunes rising to 20 m.
