Beach T 8 is tied to the eastern side of the tombolo with a narrow strip of low sand separating it from beach T 9. The beach curves to the east as a double crenulate 1.8 km long reflective beach, paralleled by rocky seabed 100 m offshore. Strong westerly winds have blown out the rear of the beach, with a 200-300 m wide shore-parallel parabolic extending 2.5 km east to the shoreline of beaches T 9 and 10. The blowout has bypassed the foredune in lee of the central salient, which remains as a 15 m high vegetated dune. Cleared grazing land backs the dunes.
Beach Length: 1.8km
General Hazard Rating: 2/10
