Beach T 23 is located on the eastern side of the point and consists of a 150 m long sandy beach bordered by granite rocks and boulders and backed by the vegetated parabolic dunes that originate from the western side of the point. Waves average about 1 m and break across a 30 m wide low tide terrace. A 100 m long string of granite boulders separates it from beach T 24, which trends to the southeast for 1.5 km to a small sandy foreland formed in lee of shallow inshore reefs, with deeper reefs along much of the beach. Waves average just over 1 m and maintain a 50 m wide bar, which is cut by rips during and following periods of higher waves. It is backed by vegetated parabolic dunes that originate from the Poole area, with two access tracks from the Poole settlement reaching the rear of the beach. The beach at the end of the northern track is used to launch small boats during low waves.
Beach Length: 0.15km
