Ransons Beach (T 1253) commences at the base of the low 200 m long northern granite point and curves to the southeast for 800 m, backed the entire way by a low vegetated foredune, then older grassy transgressive dunes that migrated east across the base of the point. The beach receives low wind waves averaging up to 1 m, which break across a 50 m wide low tide bar. The main vehicle track terminates at the northern end of the beach where a few fishing shacks are located behind the beach and to the lee of the boundary rocks. This sheltered spot is also used by fishermen to launch small boats.
Beach Length: 0.8km
