Beach FI 48 commences at the northern end of the low rounded Blue Rocks and trends straight north-northwest for 800 m to the next collection of rocks. It has a 20 m wide moderate gradient high tide beach fronted by 200 m wide sand flats then seagrass meadows. It is backed by a low grassy foredune, then gradually rising partly cleared private land, with a few houses in amongst the trees.
