Beach FI 53 is the longest of the beaches and extends west for 900 m to a 100 m long rocky section that protrudes to the south. The high tide beach is continuous, with rocks bordering each end and scattered across the low to subtidal zone in amongst the seagrass. The sand flats average 50 m in width, widening to 100 m at the western end. It is backed by a narrow grassy foredune, a 50 m wide band of scrubs and cleared grazing land to the road, with an access track reaching the centre of the beach.
