Beach FI 73 curves northeast of the foreland for 350 m to the next granite-tipped sandy foreland, with the boundary granite rocks extending 100 m offshore, as well as a few scattered off the beach. The beach receives slightly higher waves and is a reflective to occasionally low tide terrace, and which is cut by rips against the rocks during periods of higher waves. Beach FI 74 continues to the north-northwest for 300 m to the beginning of the western boundary granite point of the port. Besides being bordered by the granite rocks the beach is dominated by reefs, with sandy patches to either end, where during higher waves two rips are located. Both beaches are backed by a scarped 20-30 m high dune that has transgressed 700 m inland climbing the backing slopes to an elevation of 60 m. A narrow coastal reserve backs most of the two beaches, however there is no public access.
Beach Length: 0.3km
General Hazard Rating: 4/10
