Beach FI 71 is a 150 m long strip of yellow high tide sand located in lee of the western granite point, with the old jetty located 100 m to the north. The beach is backed and bordered by bluffs of dune calcarenite, with both granite and calcarenite outcropping off the beach and seagrass growing to low tide. The Port Davies Road runs 50 m in from the rear of the beach and terminates at the old jetty, which is now used as a boat ramp.
