Beaches FI 55-57 occupy the 800 m long southwest-trending section of low rocky shore that terminates at the western point of the bay. Beach FI 55 is a curving 250 m long high tide sand beach fronted by 100 m wide sand flats littered with granite rocks and boulders, with the seagrass beyond. A mixture of scrub and cleared slopes, then cleared land rising towards Wireless Hill back the beach, with a track off the access road leading to the northern end of the beach. Beach FI 56 lies 100 m to the south and is a curving 200 m long sandy beach with scattered rocks on and off the beach, and seagrass meadows extending to within 50-100 m of the shore. Clear grazing land extends right to the rear of the beach. Beach FI 57 is the final strip of sand before the point. It consists of an 80 m long high tide beach, with some sand off the northern end, the remainder fronted by large supratidal granite outcrops that extend 200 m offshore.
