Silas Beach (FI 13) lies 150 m to the west, with a sloping granite point and islets in between. The beach curves to the west for 700 m and faces due south towards Little Green Island. This is a low energy low gradient reflective beach, with seagrass growing to within 20 m of the shoreline (Fig. 4.293). Several boats are usually moored off the western end of the beach in lee of the granite point that extends 200 m to the south. The beach is backed by a low grassy foredune and road, with a picnic shed in the centre and scarped yellow Pleistocene dune sands rising to 15 m.
