Yellow Beach (FI 12) extends north of the boundary granite point for 700 m, spiralling to the northwest then west. It is a narrow sheltered low energy beach, with a 10 m wide high tide beach and seagrass growing to within 50 m of the shoreline. It is backed by a low grassy foredune then scarped 15 m high Pleistocene dunes, the source of the yellow sand.
