Beach FI 86 commences against a low eastern rock point that continues south as a 600 m long rock reef and islet. The beach faces southwest out of the bay and consists of a sandy high tide beach backed by a low grassy foredune, with scattered rock outcrops dominating much of the low to intertidal, particular along the western half of the beach, where a vehicle track runs down to the shore.
