Beach FI 85 continues northwest of Mines Creek mouth for 1 km, finally curving round to face south. Wave height decreases to the north with calm conditions usually prevailing in the northern corner. The beach continues as a low gradient low tide terrace with low granite outcrops also increasing to the north, while the seagrass meadows move to within 50 m of the shore (Fig. 4.306). It is backed by a low 100 m wide grassy barrier, with the deflected Mines Creek behind. The West End Road runs 200 m north of the end of the beach, with a vehicle track down to the northern end.
