Beach FI 123 is located in the centre of the embayment, with the solitary vehicle track descending to the southern end of the beach. The beach commences amongst granite rocks and reefs and curves to the north, then northwest for 400 m terminating in lee of the sandy foreland behind Green Island (Fig. 4.312). It consists of a high tide sand beach fronted by continuous irregular granite rocks and reefs extending 100-200 m offshore, with a sandy channel towards the southern end, which is occupied by a rip during higher waves. It is backed by vegetated dunes that have climbed 300 m inland and 30 m up the backing slopes. Beach FI 124 extends from the northern side of the foreland for 300 m to the northern rocks of the embayment. It is a continuous high tide sand beach, with granite rocks and reefs dominating most of the foreshore and extending out into a rocky bay floor.
