Beach FI 126 is a 100 m long reflective beach that faces north up the bay. It is sheltered in lee of a low 100 m long granite point, with several large rocks also off the beach, then a sand bar seaward of the rocks. Waves average about 1 m, with higher waves breaking over the bar and forming a rip against the western point. Beach FI 127 commences 50 m to the east and continues north for 300 m, with a 50 m wide band of scattered rocks fronting the entire beach, then a patchy sand bar beyond. Waves average over 1 m with higher waves breaking over the bar and across the rocks. Both beaches are backed by the steeply rising dunes, which extend 1 km inland to the 110 m high crest of the backing ridge.
