Beach FI 24 lies on the western side of the 100 m wide point and curves to the west for 500 m to the base of Pigs Head Point which extends 1.2 km to the southwest. The beach is composed of slightly coarser yellow sand with a moderate gradient high tide beach and sand flats that widen to 100 m in the west and extend out along the western rocks, with seagrass meadows beyond (Fig. 4.295). It is backed by a 200 m wide series of several foredune ridges, then densely vegetated slopes rising to 300 m.
