Beach FI 20 is bordered to the east by 15 m high Tongue Point, which extends 200 m to the south, and to the west by rocky shore trending 500 m southward. The beach is composed of yellow sand and curves for 300 m between the sloping rock boundaries facing due south into the sound. The beach is a low gradient 20 m wide high tide beach grading into sand flats that widen to 150 m to the west where Reddins Creek drains onto the beach, with seagrass fringing the edge of the flats. It is backed by a low, in places scarped, foredune.
