Bluff Beach (FI 40) commences at the Whitemark jetty and trends north for 2.5 km, before spiralling round to the west in lee of a low spit at its northern end called The Bluff. The sand flats continue north widening to 3 km off the northern end and The Bluff. The low, narrow high tide beach is backed by a low foredune and vegetated overwash flats extending up to 500 m inland, then a drained wetland called Little Lagoon. The beach can be accessed along Beach Road, which parallels the rear of the beach and in the north along Bluff Road.
