Beach T 1198 commences amongst the boulder flats at the small Curries River mouth and trends to the northeast as a double crenulate high tide sand beach, fronted by near continuous intertidal boulder flats averaging 100 m in width and in places extending 200 m seaward. The beach is backed by a 100 m wide fringe of Holocene foredune then Pleistocene dunes extending up to 4 km inland. A dune-controlled creek flows west to the centre of the beach. The beach can be reached via the footbridge from Beechford and along a vehicle track on the northern side of the Curries River.
