Beaches T 1195-1197 are three continuous beaches separated by rock-tied sandy foreland that terminate at the mouth of the Curries River. Beach T 1195 commences 1 km east of beach T 1194 and 3 km west of the river mouth. It is a curving, north-facing 800 m long sandy beach fronted by a 300 m wide mixture of intertidal rocks and low tide bar, with a 300 m long sand-backed, cobble-boulder beach extending east of the boundary headland. Waves average just over 1 m and during higher waves generate reef-controlled rips across the surf zone. It is backed by a hummocky 250 m wide marram-covered transgressive dune, with a small creek draining through the dunes and across the centre of the beach.
