Five Mile Bluff contains two small beaches on either side of the western tip of the bluff. Beach T 1192 commences at the eastern end of the main beach and is a narrow 200 m long northwest-facing beach, backed by the 10 m high vegetated sand-draped bluff fronted by 200 m wide intertidal rock flats and boulders. The flats only permit lower waves to reach the beach at high tide. Beach T 1193 commences on the eastern side of the tip of the bluff, 100 m to the east. It is a slightly curving 200 m long more sheltered northeast-facing sandy beach, fronted by deeper 100 m wide rock flats, and backed by a low vegetated dune. Basalt bluffs rising to 25 m extend east of the beach, curving round the eastern tip of the bluff and extending for 2 km to beach T 1194.
