Beach T 1216 extends east, from a small collection of rocks that separates it from beach T 1215, for 400 m to the narrow sandy mouth of the Little Piper River. More than half the beach is fronted by steeply dipping ridges of greywacke extending up to 500 m offshore, with sandy patches in between the ridges.
