Beach T 1188 continues northeast of the boundary foreland, as a mixed cobble and sand high tide beach, with inter- and subtidal rock flats and reefs alternating with the sandy low tide beach. Waves break over the reefs and generate several rips during higher waves. The beach is backed by vegetated Pleistocene dunes, which extend 2-3 km inland and are overlapped by semi-stable transgressive dunes extending up to a few hundred metres inland. A gravel road off the Aerodrome Road reaches a small car park above the centre of the beach.
