Beach T 1184 is a 30 m long pocket of sand wedged in between the northern end of the breakwater and a low rock reef. While it is fully exposed to wind waves generated across the port it remains sheltered by rock reefs that extend 100-150 m offshore. Beach T 1185 extends for 70 m immediately north of the breakwater, with the road to the breakwater running along the rear of the beach. It is a low energy narrow high tide beach, fronted by 200 m wide shallow rock flats.
