Tertiary basalt dominates the eastern boundary of the bay and the next 10 km of coast to Noland Bay. Beach T 1205 is a 600 m long narrow strip of high tide sand and cobbles that commences in lee of the eastern headland and curves to the southeast. It is fronted by 100-200 m wide intertidal basalt rock flats and backed by low vegetated bluffs. There is vehicle access to the centre of the beach, where boats are launched off the rock flats in lee of a small cove in the rock flats.
